You Beauty Discovery May 2014

2014-05-07 17.30.07 2014-05-07 17.33.00

This month YBD joined forces with CEW(UK) and had a great selection of products to choose from, I actually didn’t know which products to pick!

2014-05-07 17.34.15

Dr Organic – Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Treatment Serum

This was the first product I chose, and it is Full Size 100ml, which is worth £14.99.  You can buy this from Holland and Barrett.  It says it detangles hair, eliminates frizz, nourishes & protects and provides instant shine.  I picked this as I thought it would be one of the products I would use the most, as I like hair oils due to having frizzy hair!  Most hair oils I have come in small bottles, so it was nice to find such a large product! This will definitely last me a long time! I have yet to try this as I have only just got my box, but it smells nice and it isn’t too thick in consistency.  This product is also free from parabens and is against animal testing.

GlamGlow – Supermud Clearing Treatment

I picked this product as the full size is expensive, and it has a lot of great reviews so I really wanted to try it without having to fork out for it.  Full size is £44.99 for 34g.  This sample size is 10g and worth £13.23.  It is a detoxifying mud mask which helps fight all skin concerns.

it helps with the brightening and evening of the complexion; creates a more youthful and smooth skin tone; improves elastin and collagen; de-clogs and minimises pore size and fights unwanted breakouts, by reducing redness and super-speeding the healing process.

It can be used as a full mask, or for spot treatments.  You apply to the skin and leave for 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes, depending on the length of treatment you want.  Then remove with warm water and a cloth.  This product is loved many celebrities and was initially created for Hollywood behind the scenes.  I can’t wait to try this product and do a full review on it.  Lets hope it is magic in a tube!

Lizi’s Granola – Treacle & pecan

This is one of the extras you receive in the box.  It is a 40g packet of granola in treacle & pecan flavour, and I believe is worth around 50p.  This is a nice little extra, and i’m interested in trying this flavour.  I’m happy it’s a nice healthy product included, and I look forward to having this for my breakfast.  I have never really eaten that much granola, but I do quite like it with yogurt, so I will give this a try.

Charles Worthington – Moisture Seak Hair Healer Leave-In Conditioner

This is my second extra I got, it is a 10ml sample worth 30p.  It also comes with a £2 off voucher.  This product also contains argan oil, and is meant to repair and recondition your hair.  It also says it is lightweight and deeply nourishing.  I tend to use spray leave-in conditioners, so it will be interesting using a gel-creme.  It may feel like I’m applying normal conditioner and just not rinsing, which I’m sure will feel strange at first.  I’m guessing I will only get one use out of this sample, as I do have quite thick long hair.  If I like this product I will probably put the £2 off voucher to good use and buy the full sized product as it is only £5.99 to start with.

Caudalie – Divine Legs

This is the final extra I received in my box.  It is a 5ml sample worth £1.30.  Full size is £26 for 100ml.  This is a tinted body lotion to give you a sunkissed glow without self-tanning agents.  This is a great product to be able to try out before the summer, not pasty legs on display! You apply the lotion and allow it to dry before dressing, and it just washes off, so sounds great for the days you get your legs out! A nice healthy way to add some glow without causing any damage to your skin.  I have an olive tint to my skin anyway so I don’t know how much use this will be to me, but I will give it a try.  Even when I have bought self tanning products you could never tell I had actually used them, but if you have quite pale skin then this maybe great for you.

So yet another great box from You Beauty Discovery.  This box is worth £30.32!! Not bad considering I only paid £6.95.  You definitely get your moneys worth with this box! Out of all the beauty boxes I get this is the cheapest and the products are actually worth more! This is definitely my favourite box!

What do you think?

I did, they just said my order was recieved and would be with me shortly :/ Did you get a dispatch email before yours came? My only gripe is their system is a bit hit & miss when it comes to dispatch emails. Sometimes I’ve not had one, other times I’ve had the email on the same day the box arrived. My account says my order is complete but no dispatch email so I don’t really know if it’s with the courier or not! X

I got the email when I chose what I wanted, but I didn’t get anything later than that about when it was dispatched. If you don’t get it soon i’d email them again, i’m sure they will sort it. One month I didn’t get any vouchers for the tea we received, so I emailed them and they posted them out to me. Hopefully you will get your box tomorrow. x
