Pink Parcel – It’s a Monthly Thing

pink parcel

Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box with a big difference. Instead of the main focus being beauty products, it is aimed at women’s time of the month. Your first box is £6.99 and then your following boxes are £10.50 (including P&P) you can sign-up here. You receive your monthly necessities plus special treats, including beauty products and sweet treats. In the box, you will either get tampons or towels, depending on your preference.

I went for towels. I received a pouch that you can pop into your bag to keep your sanitary products at hand. Inside were 5 panty liners and 6 everyday towels. There is another box that contains an extra 10 towels and a box that contains 4 night time towels.

Not only do you receive you monthly essentials you also get a box jam packed with special treats to get you through the month. This is where I think Pink Parcel goes all out and definitely makes their boxes something special. In each box you get:

TEA: Because a cup of tea solves everything!
TAMPONS: Brands you know – plus something new
PADS: All of your favourite brands
SOMETHING SWEET: To help hit that PMS craving spot
BEAUTY PRODUCTS: For that all important pamper time

In the box, there is an ACE TEA Hot Ginger Green tea bag and a Rhythm 108 Ooh-la-la Lemon & Ginger tea biscuit, perfect to sit down with a nice cuppa and biscuit and if the biscuit isn’t enough there’s a Willie’s Cacao Venezuelan dark chocolate bar. There is also a disposable Bic ‘Miss Soleil’ Razor, something to keep those pesky hairs under control! This would also be perfect to keep for a trip away. The Mount Purious Rosewater Facial Toner is also perfect to take away on a holiday or overnight stay. It is 100% organic and cools, refreshes, cleanses, tightens pores and perks up tired skin at a spritz. All you do is spray onto the face and wipe off with a cotton pad. Simples.

I am looking forward to trying out the Scrub Love Coconut Affair. It is a hydrating Coconut Oil and Ground Organic Coffee Scrub. This is perfect for getting rid of any dead skin cells and also stimulates blood circulation, perfect pre-holiday to get your skin silky soft! All you do is use in the shower or bath, gently scrub in circular motions and leave on for five minutes. Then wash off and hey-presto perfect skin.

One of my favourite items in this box is the Flawless Brushes Blusher Brush. I can never have enough brushes and I always love getting to try out new ones. The are founded by a woman with a passion for animals and beauty. All of the Flawless Brushes are eco-friendly, vegan and completely cruelty-free. This is very important to me especially when it comes to makeup brushes, it’s hard enough to find cosmetics that are cruelty-free, we shouldn’t have the same problem when it comes to brushes. The brush is super soft and I love the natural wooden handle, it really emphasises the values of the brand.

The final item is a Trust Fund nail polish in a perfect nude shade – OMG! Dying. These are also vegan and cruelty-free Canadian brand, I am loving that they have included several cruelty-free brands in the box. I love the shade, it is perfect and will go with anything, it is great for a subtle look.

I am impressed with Pink Parcel, I like the fact you get your monthly essentials and then special treats as well. They don’t scrimp on the special treats either, I think they are better than some monthly beauty boxes out there. For me I don’t really need the monthly essentials, but they can always be donated to charities that help out homeless women, so they don’t need to get wasted. I also think the special treats alone are worth the subscription price!

Have you tried Pink Parcel before? What do you think of it?
